Math	In the last two weeks we practiced various questions based on fractions, decimals , percentages and integers. We played an interesting game ‘Coordinate Battleship’ in pairs  to practice the concept of plotting coordinates on coordinate plane. Language andLiterature	Over the last two weeks we read the story ‘The Bet’ by Anton Chekhov and focused on the theme of the story. We discussed the theme elaborately with the aim to draw two opposing views. Applying these views in the context of capital punishment versus life imprisonment, we discussed the structure of article writing. We also appeared for our formative assessment. Individuals & Societies	In the past two weeks we learnt about the elements of natural disasters such as earthquakes and volcanoes . We watched videos and made notes on the interior structure of a volcano,types of volcanoes, and the impact of its eruptions. We also learned how scientific and technical innovations are used to predict and combat the effects of natural disasters. By: Rabani GulatiMYP 2C
Science	Chemistry: In the last two weeks we learned to differentiate between elements, compounds and mixtures by looking at various samples. We categorized the samples. We also learnt about homogenous and heterogeneous mixtures and attempted a task sheet on the same. We also discussed the elements and compounds that are present in the humanbody. By-Rabani (MYP 2C) Biology: Wepresented posters of the digestive system as our formative assessment  During a presentation we summarized the main points.Furthermore, we attempted a practical formative assessment on testing wherein we tested the given food samples for starch and glucose. This task was assessed on criteria B and C. By: Arsh AgarwalMYP 2B Physics:In the last two weeks we learned to draw graphs; distance -time and speed-time of the various situations given to us .We also identified the difference between speed and velocity and also did an activity wherein we calculated the speed of various transportation systems that were used in the old times and the ones that are used now.  By: Fangyao MYP2A
Product Design	Over the past two weeks we attempted criterion A of the design cycle to analyse and inquire about our client’s problem. We learned how to make a research plan.We also explored the various tools and commands of the software 2D design V2. We also practiced CAD. By:Amayra SoniMYP 2D
Digital Design	In the last two weeks we did various activities focussing on the unit ‘Recording for the future’. Wealso  completed strand 3; analyzing existing product.It was followed by a reverse brainstorming ofthe things which make the  product worse .We have also been introduced to a software interface By: Atharv Singh MYP 2C
Language Acquisition	French: In the past two weeks we covered the lexical content related to the facilities in a town, commercial activities and prepositions of position. We accessed variousFrench resources such as tricolore 1and French audio-visual sites. We also watched authentic francophone videos to understand the cultural patterns,notice the change in accents of people residing in African countries and speak French as their official language.We alsohad a class discussion on the same and did various activities to map our learning with the unit. Lastly, we revised the conjugation of the first group of French verbs.     By: Zoya Jain MYP 2A   Hindi: Emergent: This week we attempted the unit related  to paragraph writing  . We memorized a few poems and created an illustration based on poems. We also attempted creative writing based on some topics given to us  . By:Tavanya seth MYP 2 B Capable: We practiced Hindi Diwas activities such as  poetry recitation and an illustration of poems .We discussed the connection between poems and real life situations.    Spanish Phase 1: e started ourspanish classes with various activities that focused on enhancing our listening skills. Through this  activity we understood the format and conjugation of Spanish terms and added new words to our vocabulary. We also learned prepositions of place and used them to locate the various places in our town.We also attempted our formative assessment. By: RabaniMYP 2C Phase 2: In the past two weeks we discussed the format of reading assessment. We discussed all the three strands of criterion B through a comprehensive reading of text. We also appeared for formative assessment.
Visual Art	Over the last two weeks we wereintroduced to the elements of Art and the principles of design. We learned how artists use colour, form, shape, texture, balance, rhythm and point of emphasis to create anartwork . We also learned the rule of thirds and how it is used in creating a good composition. We learned how to draw landscapes using one-point perspective. We used mind maps to plan our landscape composition and have started developing our own layouts.
Physical and Health Education (PHE)	We continued with our first unit in martial arts. We learned different karate kicks and practiced them. We also had a demo session for the same . We did self-body weight exercises to gain muscle strength. By:SuryaanshMYP 2A
Drama	We continued working on our 3D set design using recycled material. We alsodiscussed the presentation aspect  of our set designs. Furthermore, we explored various stories creatively through the medium of set design.
Music	We attempted summative assessment on the derivation of major and minor scales using formulas and also marked the pitches of those scales on the staff. We also had to identify the tonality of the scale mentioned on the staff on the board. We  receiveda feedback on the assessment too. By:Arsh Agarwal MYP 2B.
